Prioritizing yourself

we have all dealt with those moments in our lives where we can't handle it anymore and when we least expect it we are people pleasers and that can't happen! In today's entry, I will talk about how to prioritize yourself and how to get back your own power.

Seems like it's been ages my pretty swans how are you all doing? I hope you are doing just fine! Today's post will be divided into 3 parts and we will talk about the following topics
What is prioritizing ourselves?
What is people pleasing?
How to make the move?
What is prioritizing ourselves?
Prioritizing ourselves includes many aspects and it is a very big fan of ideas. In this case, the straight meaning of prioritizing ourselves is "crushing the beliefs that are keeping you indebted to others' priorities and prioritizing your own dreams and ambitions instead." For does of you who don't get it it's basically putting your dreams, goals, and beliefs before other people's choices. This is not being selfish there is a great difference between being selfish and prioritizing yourself.
Selfish people don't care about others and they are only focussing on themselves well on the other hand people that prioritize their selves care about others and their problems and are open to new ideas but they know that when they need to make a decision they will always look out and chose what they want without letting themselves be influenced by other's techniques of manipulation.
What is people pleasing?
In our current generation, many people suffer from this problem and some don't even notice it. People pleasing is one of the main reasons why we forget about prioritizing ourselves. People pleasing is basically the contrary of putting your dreams and goals first to build up your self-respect, the actual meaning is that you basically don't have a voice of your own and you just follow what someone says, you don't have opinions because you are constantly agreeing to what other have said to you to do, you are basically a manipulated puppet or slave that does what is told without thinking about themselves or if you really enjoy what they are doing. It's basically putting your right apart to please other people.
Most of the time we don't realize we are doing this because we usually do it to help and to please the people we love because we are afraid of letting them go when in reality we should know that if someone really loves us they won't go away just because of putting ourselves first.
How to make the move
Usually making the move it's the worst part because by choosing yourself many people will get away from you and start calling you selfish. This will usually happen if you are getting out of your paper role of a people pleaser. You will start to notice that some people just wanted you because of the attention or service you gave them and that in reality, you weren't that important to them. You will probably end up alone because people don't like it when you focus on yourself because the majority are scared of your full potential and the power that you will achieve if you start focusing on yourself.
But not everything is bad. From the journey of putting yourself first, you can start to notice who are your real friends and who are just there for the interest. You will also start to notice that you are more connected to yourself because you connect with the things you really want by making your own choices or by speaking up for yourself this will also give you more self-respect because you are starting to make your voice a notable voice that everyone can hear.
Benefits and consequences can be difficult or rewarding but you never lose anything by trying here are some tips on how to start your journey into prioritizing yourself.
Say no! When you don't like something or when you don't agree always say no!
Level up your voice. Say what you think, and give your opinion.
Spend more time with yourself. Get to really know you.
Start planning goals. This can be a great way to get to know what you want no matter how small it is.
Make Yourself questions. Do you really want to do it? Are they disrespecting you? Are you being used?
I hope this helped you realize that you are the most important project you will ever work on and that you deserve to be happy and to be yourself.
