How to identify a toxic comment?
This is something that for most of us can be easy due to our empathetic personality or it can be kind of difficult if you are a closed-up person that sometimes doesn't know how to identify their emotions and just try to avoid them.
In the first place, a toxic comment can hurt us, make us mad, or simply make us uncomfortable. Usually, toxic comments come from people that envy you, insecure people, or people that hate you. So let me explain does 3 types of people and some situations where you can feel identified.
People that envy you.
This kind of person can be in your circle without you noticing it. Usually, this person is always aware of what you are doing, wearing, saying, etc... Basically, it's kind of a stalker. They then do comments like "Omg do you mean that?" With that kind of funny tone that is created to embarrass you and make others laugh. Another example is the looks of dissaprovement or hates all the time. These things can bring you down and can make you feel insecure about your outfit your ideas, your arguments, or even your personality. If you let this affect you, you will start to lose yourself and end up giving the other person the power that they wanted. It was to bring you down and to make you feel uncomfortable for them to take the protagonist and have everyone by their side.
Insecure people
Right, so this one is really bad. This is a person that has insecureness about something in themselves. Let me put you an example. Imagine there is this person who every time they see you say "Are you going to wear heels, I mean you are tall already they don't look good on you you are very tall." Right so this is a perfect example of someone that is insecure about their height and about wearing heels and they are trying to make you feel bad about your height and heels. This person can also transmit and reflect their toxic and insecure energy by looking bad at you and then laughing or making a face like omg that is so ridiculous. These people just have insecurities my pretty swans and their goal is to put you down because you are secure about something they are insecure about.
People that hate you
Sometimes babes we have to accept it. We can't get along with everyone even if we like but that's a topic I will talk about in another post. So hear me out this is a very easy person to expose due to the muttering they do while staring at you, the bad-looking side eyes, or even their attitude around you. So my pretty swans this person wants us to avoid self-esteem and to make our confidence level go DOWN for them to have power over us and ruin our excitement / happy emotions.
How can you avoid these people?
Now that we have mentioned the 3 main toxic people that may surround us let's go to our main point. How can we avoid this person? From the bottom of my heart, I tell you that the best way to let this person go out of your life is to. Ghost them get rid of them. They aren't crucial if they hurt your feelings or affect your emotional status. Sometimes this can be hard because maybe we can encounter someone that we really love (like our friends) can start getting toxic but we feel stuck on how to get rid of them, so the majority of us just accept it and try to accustom to it. I'm not going to judge for that because is something we had all done at some point in our lives. But the best thing you can do is let them go, no matter how hard it is just let them go.
Maybe you end up alone or think that if you let that person, a whole group of people will let you down or turn against you. Probably you will start thinking of all the bad things that can happen. Just stop. Avoid this mindset and think of the benefits maybe you are exaggerating and all of these thoughts it's just you overthinking and it can all turn up beneficial for you at one point. So don't be afraid to let them because you will win peace and more self-respect.
Tips for avoiding feeling insecure and uncomfortable after the comment
I know that you can feel uncomfortable or insecure after the comment has been made but I want you to think about these things next time someone does a comment.
-Do you like what you are wearing then forget about their opinion they don't have the courage to be themselves but you do so be confident about yourself.
-They give you a dirty look? Stare back at them, and prove to them that you aren't scared. Eye contact is the key to intimidation and connection.
-They gossip behind your back? They are in the right place. Behind you.
- Remember the fact that they can't stand you shining is already a sign of insecurity and jealousy.
Hope you like the post my pretty swans
